For Norbert and ETE

Here is a video made by Birgithe, Miilaaraq and Simigaq from the middle school at Avanersuup Atuarfia. It was made for Norbert Pokorski who has been sending lots of goodies and books and DVDs to our school.

The video introduces many Greenlandic words spoken in the local dialect of Qaanaaq and translated into English. The video was made entirely by the pupils and can also be found (in better quality) on the Education Through Expeditions teacher's site.

4th and 5th grade sports!

Alt i alt en god time!

Badminton!

The 6th and 7th graders have been playing handball, football and hockey. Now they are starting to play badminton in their sports lessons.
It is cold in the hall (really cold outside) so we have to warm up the rackets.

Nunap assinga 2

200 grader i ca. 5 minutter.

Nunap assinga 1

We are making maps in natural science!

5th grade drew maps of the classroom and then the common rooms in school.

Each pupil hid a chocolate (thanks Norbert) and marked its location on the map.

Exchanging maps the pupils had a great time trying to find the hidden treasures!
