Ihiiguk!

Vi burde skifte navn på bloggen! Jeg, Chris, er i gang med at ændre mit sprog, dvs. jeg har nu lært at Takuuk, som betyder "se her" eller "kigge" på vestgrønlandsk, er et andet ord heroppe i Qaanaaq. Derfor overveje vi at skifte navn til ihiiguk! :O)

We should change the name of the blog! I, Chris, am in the process of changing my language, in other words I have now learned that Takuuk, which means "look at this" or "look" in West Greenlandic, is another word up here in Qaanaaq. Therefore, we are considering changing our name to ihiiguk! :O)

Halloween in Qaanaaq!

The 6th graders at Avanerssup Atuarfia are working with Halloween up until the 31st October.  We started last week and have already begun work on our "haunted classroom".  Today we collected seaweed from the beach to use as hair for our witches.

Motionsløb i Qaanaaq!

Elever fra Akulliit har været med til at løb mange kilometer i
skolens motionsløb som forgik i dag i Qaanaaq.

Vejret var perfekt og der ser ud som alle har haft en god dag.
