About Us

Who are we and what is this blog you have found?

"We" are from the middle school, grades 4-7, at Avanersuup Atuarfia in Qaanaaq, Greenland.  We are very far north in the most northernmost town in the world.  Qaanaaq is a traditional hunting community and many of the pupils at our school come from hunting families.  The language is Qaanamiut (Inuktun), but the pupils learn West Greenlandic, Danish and English in school as well as all the other usual subjects.  There are about 120 pupils at our school and about 630 people living in our town.

We made this blog to have a place to show our work and to be inspired!  If you have found this blog we hope you like it and will come back to visit us again.

In the meantime, if you would like to contact us you can find us at Avanersuup Atuarfia!

Takuss!
